Simply Strong Member Spotlight: Meet Christina!

Today, I’m excited to introduce you to Christina, a Simply Strong member who joined us in mid-November and has already become such a positive, encouraging presence in the community. Her story is all about consistency, strength, and showing up even when it’s hard…which is what Simply Strong is all about.

Meet Christina

Christina is a 39-year-old LPN, a wife of 16 years, and a proud mom to an 18-year-old son who’s currently living in Hawaii for school (cue happy-sad tears 😭). When she’s not working, she loves hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family and her dog.

She joined Simply Strong about a month ago and has been committed to building consistency, routine, and strength.

Her Fitness & Health Journey

Christina has been strength training for years, but recently found herself feeling a bit inconsistent. She knew she needed something structured, intentional, and steady, she was looking for a program designed with progression in mind.

She’s anti “diet culture” and focuses on healthy choices and strength training to support her goals.

Her biggest challenge before Simply Strong? Coming up with workouts that actually made sense.

She previously tried the Fitbod app but found it repetitive and impersonal. In her words, Simply Strong “feels more personal and thought out by an actual human, a structure she really values.

Her Experience With Simply Strong

Christina’s favorite features:

  • Exercise videos built right into the workout screen (no extra tabs or links)
  • Monthly workout consistency for true progressive overload
  • Workouts that take 39–45 minutes - challenging but doable
  • Ability to train at the gym or at home with dumbbells and bands

She’s currently following the 4-day upper/lower split and loving it.

While she hasn’t dived into macro tracking or recipes just yet, she’s hoping to build more consistency in that area over time.

Progress & Wins

Christina’s biggest win so far?

Showing up. Staying consistent. Pushing herself.

Even on days she doesn’t feel motivated, she reminds herself:

“I’ll lose the progress I’ve made if I don’t stick with it.”

She notices a big difference in both her mental and physical energy when she’s consistent.

Christina’s Advice for New Members

Her #1 tip?

“Be consistent - don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Even if you show up with 2.5 lb weights, that’s okay. Keep showing up.”

When life gets hectic, she fits workouts in at home or hits the gym on her way home to avoid procrastination.

Fun Facts

  • She really loves vintage Santas (how fun!)
  • She hasn’t used the recipe portion of the app yet… but we’ll win her over soon 😉

A Note From Christina

“I'm not much of a social media person, but I've appreciated this group. It’s been fun seeing everyone keep showing up!”

Her personal motto?

Consistency.  “I don’t always model it perfectly, but when I do, I see results.”

Final Thoughts

Christina, thank you for being part of our Simply Strong community! Keep up the amazing work.
